There will be workshops on wire art jewellery by Yati Salem, paper beading by Ling Ooi and smocking by Nirwana Tuan Sariff.
The Arts and Crafts Guild is founded in October 1993.
“We also function as a resource centre, providing information about art supplies, workshops, galleries, and art and craft techniques,” said Jane Khoo who is the Arts and Crafts Guild president.
Khoo said membership is open to anyone above 18. “The only prerequisite is the love of any form of art, be it visual or performing arts or crafts. Over the past 14 years, our members have included artists, art graduates, homemakers, self-taught artists and professionals.”
There will be talks by Clove and The Star columnists such as image consultant and Clove’s Miss Behave columnist Wendy Lee, Vasthu Sastra columnist T. Selva, Childwise columnist Ruth Liew and Fit for Life’s qi gong columnist Dr Amir Farid Isahak.
